Designed as a multigenerational beach retreat near the shores of Maui, this home was thoughtfully reimagined to welcome families gathering for holidays, reunions, and special occasions. The goal was to create an inviting, relaxed environment that encouraged connection, intimate gatherings, and effortless entertaining while balancing comfort, functionality, and elevated island living.

Given full creative direction over both the interiors and overall guest experience, the project extended beyond furnishing and styling into conceptualizing the home’s hospitality identity. Spaces were redesigned to accommodate families of varying generations while maintaining an open tropical atmosphere connected to both the town and nearby beach. Updates included replacing carpeting with stone flooring, reconfiguring enclosed spaces to create additional rooms, sourcing new furnishings while thoughtfully editing existing pieces, and curating amenities that reflected the home’s relaxed yet elevated brand.

To further enhance the guest experience, the home was outfitted with a well-stocked kitchen, games and activities for all ages, thoughtfully selected toiletries and amenities, and connections to local third-party services including surf instruction and island experiences — creating a retreat designed as much for gathering and memory-making as for beautiful coastal living.
